Material Girl – Madonna
This is quite a big get for Rocksmith+, although it managed to sneak in under the Stranger Things Album licensing that Master of Puppets also had. I rather liked this piano chart, despite not being a standard piano affair. Easy to grasp chords and arpeggios. Good fun and easy to learn!
Figure It Out – Royal Blood
A return from Rocksmith 2014 and paving the way for a much bigger Royal Blood drop of songs, Figure It Out was a favourite of mine for some simple but effective bass. It’s mostly on one string and single notes, with the cool bits mostly just made up of HOPOs that go up and down the neck. As long as you know where your fingers are going, you could look pretty impressive playing this one.
Still into You – Paramore
Another Rocksmith 2014 return that came with a substantial Paramore drop, I just love this song on bass! Like a lot of Paramore songs, the bass is active, engaging and drives the song along. I’ll take any chance to play a song that actually has interesting bass lines, even more so when they’re as well crafted as Paramore can be.
